A. Yes, as I am a Freelance Mobile Make-up Artist and I am more than happy to travel to you for your appointments and if you are getting married both the trial, and the wedding day.
I can meet you at home or your chosen venue, but please be aware that if the area is outside of Telford, travel charges maybe added. If you would like a quotation for this, please provide a postcode of the address you want me to visit and I will price this for you.
I'm sorry but due to insurance requirements, I do not work from my own home.
A. Yes. I provide make-up for the following - Engagement Shoots, Photo Shoots, Events, Red Carpet, Wedding Guests, Parties and Special Occasions, Hen Parties, Proms, Balls, Corporate Events, Fashion Shows, Make-up for job interviews, Make-up Lessons and Personal Shopper for Make-up assistance.
A. I do get booked up quickly for Saturdays during the Summer, and Fridays and Sundays are just as popular too. I would recommend that you book early to get the date of your choice. I take bookings as far ahead as 18 months in advance.
A. The best thing to do is to call or email me as soon as you can, to check to see if your date is free. Sometimes I do have late bookings available at short notice.
A. Ideally yes. I like to meet you and discuss your requirements for the type of look/image you require and apply your make-up so you can see and feel how you are going to look on your wedding day. It's also a good opportunity to get to know each other too.
However there are occasions, where you may live out of the Telford area (some of my brides even live in Australia and can't get to the UK until very close to the wedding date), or that Bridal Makeup is booked at short notice, it really isn't a problem as I can usually allow extra time on the day for a consultation. If this is the case, don't panic, because of the experience I have, I am good at interpreting Brides ideas and if you would feel more comfortable, you can look in the mirror as we go along so you can see how you are looking, I do check regularly with you that your make-up feels comfortable and that you are happy!
A. For your consultation and trial, if you have any ideas of what you would like then it may be useful to provide some pictures, either from the internet or magazines. This will help when discussing looks, but please don't worry if you haven't got any thing or you are unsure as to what to go for, I can make plenty of suggestions! If you have a photo of your dress, it will help me to see what style you are going for and also a swatch of your colour scheme. Some dresses can be vintage in style and others more simple or glam, but which ever wonderful dress you have chosen, I can follow on with your styles.
I can create many styles of make-up , anything from very glamorous with smokey eyes to an 'English Rose' which is pretty, fresh and natural. Or if you prefer, very natural but "you" at your very best!
For your trial it's best to not wear any make-up, but if you would rather show me what you normally wear that's fine. I will go through any skin care routines with you, should you think that you need help with this, and also advise you which other treatments you may benefit from too, ie: eyelash tinting or false lashes etc. It's a good idea too if you can wear a similar colour top to your dress, as this helps to reflect the colour back into your face and helps you to see what it will look like!
On the day of the wedding, please do not have any makeup on, just cleansed skin.
A. Please allow two hours, this will allow plenty of time for a consultation and make-up application, and any 'tweaking' if needs be, such as changing lip colour or adding more blusher.
Once we are happy with your make-up, I will take photos, fill in a chart, make notes of your make-up so I can easily re-create your look on the day.
A. No, the only thing I will do is change your base colour to match your new skin colour/tone. If you feel that you would like anything accentuated, with your new tan, that's no problem. If you have any concerns I would suggest that you have a spray tan a few days before your trial to see what your make-up will look like with your new tan.
A. I normally recommend trials to be 6-8 weeks before the wedding, as by that time you have more of an idea as to what style you would like to go for. You can book in any time though for a trial, it's up to you.
A. Ideally it should be hair first, don't worry I never use hair clips or headbands if you have had your hair done, I never disturb you hair.
Just make sure that you wear a button up or zip top, so you are able to get changed easily without disturbing your hair or make-up. When I have finished applying your make-up, you can get dressed, how exciting!
A. No, sorry, but I can recommend some very good mobile hairdressers that I work long side with if you are struggling to find someone.
A: Approximately 6 adults is usually my limit, due to the time it takes on the day, but this can vary depending on the time of your wedding and your plans for getting ready. I can advise when planning the timings with you, the number in the party it is possible to do.
A. I will have discussed with you before the wedding a time table of how best your morning will run, so everything runs smoothly. This is really important so everyone in the bridal party that is having make-up applied knows what time to be available for.
On your wedding day I will arrive promptly at the time and place agreed. You will have had your hair done by that point, so after setting up, ideally somewhere in good light and some space, I will go through the notes that I will have made from your trial with you. I will also listen to any ideas you may have had since. If there are a few in your party for make-up, I will advise you which order will be best for everyone.
An evening service is also available, you can choose from a refresh, a mini make-over, a smoky eye or statement lip colour or new look. If this is something you maybe interested in just let me know at the time of booking in and I can discuss this with you.
A. My make-up case contains a wide variety of goodies, the products I have chosen are selected through experience for their longevity, flawless coverage and photographic qualities which makes them perfect for wedding make-up. I use Professional ranges such as Mac, Urban Decay, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, Illamasqua, Make Up For Ever, NYX, Bourjois and Benefit to name just a few! My kit also contains High Definition products to help create a 'soft focus' effect on the skin to help mask fine lines and imperfections resulting in radiant complexions so ensuring that everyone's make-up is camera ready.
A. The majority of products that I use are hypo allergenic, however if you know that you prefer certain products, eg: if you have tried and tested some mascaras and have found one that suits you best, please provide it so I can apply it for you.
A. I am more than happy to apply any makeup products of your own for you, just have them to hand.
A. My make-up kit is cleaned regularly all make-up brushes are cleaned and sanitised after each person.
I also use disposable mascara wands and sponges. I use an antibacterial hand gel before and between each client. I don't blow on to my brushes and where possible I will use disposable spatulas to decant make-up such as lipsticks.
A. Yes I am fully insured and a full member of Associated Beauty Therapists (A.B.T.)
A. Discounts are available depending on the number in your party requiring my make-up services.
Please see the price list. PRICE LIST
A. Sundays and Bank Holiday Weekends including Bank Holiday Mondays and Good Friday have a surcharge of £40.00.
A. I can travel anywhere within the UK, but mileage and travel expenses are charged if it is outside of the Telford area. If you would like me to travel to you in the surrounding areas/counties please provide me with your postcode and I can provide a quotation for you.
If you will be based more than a 2 hour journey from Telford, then additional costs may be incurred for example: Toll charges, parking, traveling time and hotel if necessary.
A. In the extremely unlikely event that I am so ill, injured or a family bereavement that I am unable to do your make-up on your wedding day then I will do everything possible to find you an alternative make-up artist. If however this is not possible then I will give you a full refund of your deposit/payment. Please note that this has never happened in all the years I have been working!
A. Let me know the details about your wedding information using the contact form click (here).
I will then check availability of your date.
If the date is available I will send you over a full quote and my Terms and Conditions.
After you’ve paid your deposit I'll send you over a Booking Confirmation with all the details. We can then discuss and arrange your trial make-up appointment.
At the trial I will confirm your booking details for your big day.
A. Yes, a £20.00 non-refundable deposit per person is required (Terms & Conditions are available by request or downloadable from this website) this will then secure your date & time of your Wedding & generates a confirmation letter and receipt.
Dates are not secured until a deposit has been paid and confirmed in writing. Unfortunately I cannot hold the wedding date until the day of the trial without having received a non-refundable deposit.
If you would prefer to have a trial earlier, that's fine.
I will advise you on my availability and of any other details, such as travel costs if they will apply to you.
I understand that some brides are unsure about making a commitment with deposits without first having a trial make-up appointment to experience their make-up. Trial make-ups can be booked at anytime, but during my peak Wedding season my brides with imminent weddings will always take priority, Saturday appointments during the Summer are usually fully booked. So there maybe a wait if you are looking at booking a Saturday appointment, however mid week appointments are easier to book in.
Please be aware that if you prefer to wait or leave it to have a think, quite often another bride will book in on your wedding date and confirm their booking by paying a deposit.
Some dates can be very popular or in demand even when the date is 18 months away.
Due to this situation I will only hold a date open for seven days without a deposit from provisionally booking in. Dates after this time that are unconfirmed without a deposit will be offered to other prospective brides.
When you make your initial enquiry I will discuss with you your booking details and advise you what you need to do next.
Please note : the date for your provisional booking will be held for 7 days and your deposit must be paid within this time to secure your Booking.
WHERE PAYMENT IS NOT RECEIVED STRICTLY WITHIN THESE 7 DAYS, THE DATE & TIME WILL BE RELEASED AND BECOME AVAILABLE FOR OTHER BRIDES.
Once your cleared deposit has been received you will be sent a confirmation letter containing the booking details.
A. I will Invoice you 2 Months prior to you wedding for the remaining balance, which is itemised (taking off your deposit) and this will be due for payment one month before the wedding date.
If you decide to add anyone else to your party for the day, please contact me as soon as possible so that I can discuss this with you.
A. Cash, and I also accept bank transfers prior to the wedding date. Cheques & Credit cards are NOT accepted.
A. Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to cancel your booking. This must be done by telephone and additionally by email or writing.
Cancellation of Bridal make-up will be subject to the following charges:
Up to 2 weeks before booked date is 100%, 2-4 weeks 75% of the outstanding balance, 4-6 weeks 50% of outstanding balances. Deposits are non refundable.
Terms and conditions are available by request, also these will be on the back of confirmation letters and Invoices. By paying your deposit, you are agreeing to my Terms and Conditions.
A: The best advice intially that I can recommend is looking on Pinterest.com you can discover plenty of wedding inspirational looks. I have a Pinterest Board for Bridal make-up that can start you off.
Once you have a board put together, you can always send me the link so I can take a look at your ideas. There is also plenty of ideas for choosing your wedding style, flowers, colour schemes, venue decor etc.
